Eighteen…

by Kate on March 12, 2010

months in the making and I still don’t know what will become of these.

I don’t mind though, it’s nice to know that I can pick these up at any time and get started.

Some of my favourite hexagon inspiration can be found here, here, here, here and here

It's great to have a small, easy-to-transport stitching project when you need one!!

Such beautiful fabrics! I too am feeling the hex love at the moment. Would love to add a hand stitching project to my repertoire!

I don't know why but I love making these little hexes too. Another 18months and you may have a whole quilt….good luck!

I love having a project on the go that you can pick up ad hoc, particularly in the evenings. And can't wait to see what this one becomes…those fabrics are divine;-)

I have a similar stack, though not as nice as yours!

How wonderful. The thing with hexes is you could make a tiny pincushion or a huge quilt… it's hard to know how long to keep going before you use them!

I'm currently cutting up tiny half-inch hexes. Insane. But I've also ordered some larger paper pieces so I can hopefully make a quilt. Maybe. One day.

OK. The day you decide what's happening (and then get started) is the day I start end weaving in on the granny. Ball in your court lady.

They look good just sitting there all piled up together Kate. It is great to have a project that is no pressure, no deadline, no expectation and just happening through enjoyment.
