I was five months pregnant with Maddie when we left London and before we left I purchased my first ‘maternity’ outfit. Made out of 100% silk, it wasn’t cheap and I think over two pregnancies I only worn the thing twice – such a waste.
Anyway, during June Sew Mama Sew are hosting a ‘Make It, Wear It’ challenge. This proved to be the incentive I needed to actually do something with the dress.
I took the scissors to it this morning and using a pattern from the new Prints Charming book, Maddie now has a new sundress for Summer.

That's so beautiful, kate and I love the 'full circle' thing going on there too ;-) (Must get my hands on a copy of the book too!)
Lucky Maddie!
Silk most appropriate for playdates methinks. x
The dress is adorable. The fabric and the ribbon are a great match. I love the synergy of it all too.
