Thanks so much for the lovely response on my last post, the first four commenter’s have been notified and I have set to work on their pay it forward treat.

I have also started work on an improvisational quilt.

In progress..

Lots of piecing, ironing and trimming…over and over again. Very repetitive, but it’s nice to start something and have no real idea of what it is going to look like when finished.

It has been a long while since I have made a quilt this way which may explain my quilting funk, I’m hoping this project gets me going again.

YOU are in a quilting funk? I feel like there’s a new quilt coming out of your space every week! I’m itching to get cutting and randomly piecing on a quilt I have in mind for this little fella of mine BUT i have promised myself I should finish a few other things first … *sigh*.

Enjoy the process!

Love the palette! I made myself a dress in that teal vine Liberty print last year, and I absolutely love it (I’m hoarding the last scraps for a quilt). If only I wasn’t too pregnant to wear it at the moment…

Keep going with all these blues and I’ll have to grow out of all those reds. I believe it could be time.

PS. In desperate need of a craft camp project. Tell me about this improvisational quilty bizzo?!?!?

All of those blues are just lovely and I’m especially loving the print towards the centre with the blue tear drop pattern – is that one Liberty too?
