Patchwork Scarf

by Kate on May 9, 2011

I first spotted these scarves over at Leslie’s back in 2009 and even commented on her post saying I was going to whip one up for Maddie.

Patchwork Scarf

Fast forward two years and I have finally gotten round to making one. Not for Maddie, but for her grade 5 buddy as a thank you for taking care of her at school.

Patchwork Scarf

Purple was requested and purple was delivered.

These are the quickest things to whip up and I see many more patchwork scarves as my ‘go-to’ kid gift.

It’s such a sweet scarf and such a thoughtful gesture. How nice to have kindness repaid with beauty, warmth and comfort. Who could ask for more?

I’ve never really thought of combining purple with aqua until now. It’s such a lovely combination. I love the mixture of solids, prints and geometrics too. Once again, I am envious of your eye for colour. I think I shall have to start taking notes from now on when I visit your blog. :)
