I started this quilt nearly a month ago and I am really glad to see it finished.
As I anticipated, it’s bright but I think it will make a nice door prize at Maddie’s school Trivia night.
The quilt measures 50″ x 60″ and I quilted it with straight(ish) lines running a quarter inch either side of the vertical and horizontal rows – a’la Red Pepper Quilts. Although, my quilting lines don’t look nearly as good as Rita’s and it is now evident to me why I like organic line quilting.
I haven’t really been loving the machine of late, always happens when the weather turns but I did promise you a doll quilt tutorial each month, better get cracking on that.

Such a fun and colorful quilt Kate! Love it, and your quilting looks just great to me. Really love the mix of prints you’ve chosen, your eye for color/pattern is spot on as usual.
Thanks Rit xx
That’s a wonderful door prize! And there’s nothing wrong with your quilting. :) Nobody holds the quilt 3 inches from their eyes to look at it unless they’re trying to learn how you did something or they hate your talent and are trying to find something to nitpick (in which case, they’re nitwits). ;D
I agree and thank you! x
Still like the spots and brights combo… and I love the binding! What is it?
The binding is an echino print that I used on the back and had some left over.
Your quilt looks fab…I am surprised it only took a month, that would take me forever to complete.

Very generous Kate. You know I’m a sucker for the organic lines too. x
Take a generous one to know one ;)

they look neat enough to me. I love the combo you have used Kate. The quilt pattern is cute too.
I love how this quilt turned out…what a lucky person to win this. The black and white dots really makes all the other colors pop!!
This is gorgeous Kate, I love the mustard squares beside the white with black dots! xo
