Chris & I undertook this project together.
It was great to have some encouragement because for a while there, I wondered if I would ever get it finished.
The pattern itself is actually very simple but it is repetitive and gets a little tedious.
I’m glad I persevered though, the wrap (& wool) transforms with aggressive blocking.
When Mum saw this finished she remarked how lovely it is. Quite surprising really as I think most of my yarny projects are a little too ‘handmade’ looking for Mum’s taste.
Anyway, I’m glad she likes it and am thrilled to be giving it to her.

It is lovely.
You must have been thrilled with your Mum’s reaction.
And I totally get that handmade thing too.
I came home after six months and tried on some of my handknits and now I’m not so sure.
That was lucky! It’s so hard gifting handmade… I’m never quite sure if someone does like it or if they’re being polite ;) It looks fabulous. Actually, it doesn’t look handmade at all – very professional :) Kx
This is beautiful & so great that your mum loves it!
This is so beautiful! Congratulations on finishing such a big project.
It’s beautiful! I don’t care how tedious the knit was, I am aspiring to make one ….one day!
I like, I wish I was half as talented with a hook or needles!
