Squishy Love

by Kate on January 26, 2012

I loved knitting this and I love the finished product even more.

Squishy Love

Knit in the smallest size (1-4) and made for my cousin’s little girl, Pia who will be 1 in May. Although it will be a little big for Pia to begin with, she should get quite a lot of wear out this.

Maddie asked me to knit her one but after wearing it for five minutes proclaimed it was “too itchy”. I find that very hard to believe, the wool is lovely and soft, it was a real pleasure to knit with.

And thus the mysetery is solved! :) It looks great Kate! I’ve not tried that yarn before – but I have to admit, when I’m buying yarn, I always press it under my chin or on my neck to see if it itches – I’m fussy like that. Gems is a scrumptious colour – berry gelati anyone?

Just gorgeous! I love the yarn, the pattern, the colour (and I normally don’t care for pinky hues)! I am still only 2/3 of the way through a honey cowl started last year….I think I’ve forgotton where I was in the pattern too! I’m definitely not destined to become a super knitter anytime soon, but this inspires me to try a bit harder… maybe I could drag it out and have a look at it today – see if I can figure out how to continue, since I’m confined to the house with a sick puppy.

Happy Australia Day!
