I have been wanting to knit socks for quite a while and have been urged on by the turn in weather as well as Angela’s and Amanda’s gorgeous creations.
Now, I am fully aware of my personality downfalls and with this in mind I am going to tackle a project that looks manageable.
Enter the Pom Pom Peds – minus the pom pom. I think these guys will be the perfect socks to wear at home on the freezing concrete floor.

I am thinking some Koigu KPM will do nicely which is lucky for me as Calico & Ivy has a lovely range in stock.
Let me know if anyone is keen to join in, it always helps to have some moral support.

I’m afraid any knitalong moral support from moi would extend only so far as Sock One. I’ve never achieved a Sock Two. (I can see why the pom pom sock knitter-er went for a colour inverse).
Which is why I went for one without the leg ;)
It must be in the stars, I just discovered this pattern yesterday and fell in love. Oh I am so tempted to join in, when are you thinkning of starting?

I have been feverishly you tubing sock tutorials, purchasing online mags and trying to get this sock stuff happening, I have pulled out and restarted numerous times. Not having much luck as yet but will keep trying, so far have been playing with circular needles but this purl bee pattern and pictures looks awesome, clear, well so far anyways, might just try and have a go on this pattern and give the DPN’s a go.
how are the socks coming along?
I am turning the heel on my first ever sock as we speak…
