Happy Go Lucky Quilt

by Kate on October 14, 2012

Sarah and I worked on this quilt together and it was lots of fun.

Happy Go Lucky Quilt

There are 21 different fabrics featured and fabric selection was made much easier with two of us finding prints that we thought would work.

We shared the piecing and binding load between us but Sarah did all the quilting ties, she is good like that!

We are both really pleased with the finished product – such a happy, sunny quilt and as a result the shop looks a lot brighter.

There are quilt kits available in store at Calico & Ivy or online.

Sarah has just set up a Calico & Ivy Balmain* Facebook page as well as Twitter - make sure you follow along to be kept up to date with all the Calico happenings.

I also wanted to share some of the gorgeous work that Lynnie from the Perth store has just completed.

Isn’t it glorious! I love the use of colour in this blanket. Beautiful work Lynnie!

Kits are available for this project also.

* The Calico & Ivy Mosman Park (Perth) Facebook page can be located here.

That granny blanket is amazing, I really don’t think I have the patience, though I’d love to give one a go, one day..
Your patchwork is beautiful, so vibrant, I love it!

Oh you should have a go Mel!

If you just do a couple of squares a day you will be surprised with how quickly it will grow x

Hmm, might have to hit YouTube to learn how to crochet. Looks easy, right?
