We have just come back from an idyllic holiday up on the NSW north coast. It was so great to hang with the family and we quickly settled into the routine of beach and pool swimming.
For us, a holiday at the end of January is the perfect way to regroup, recover from Christmas and prepare for the year that lay ahead.
This year, my study load is set to double so I will need to be so super organised and keep a firm eye on my stress levels. Thank god for the hot room!.
Speaking of yoga, it has probably been the single most important thing that I did for myself last year. It has had such a positive impact on me, which has really influenced other areas of my life.
I don’t know about you but the years seem to fly by faster and faster and I have a feeling this year will be no different.

Hope the time is flying ’cause you are having fun! I know what you mean though, Prep for Poppy this year. When you are studying I always think time does at a crazy pace too!
Oh a big year for you guys! Best of luck to Poppy with her first day x
I think it must be a trick of perspective and proportion… We tend to think of our lives from start to finish, and in comparison, a year becomes a much smaller unit of time with each one that passes. It’s sad that it means the good days seem to pass more quickly but it gives us more patience with the bad ones and we don’t tend to dwell on them as much. The important stuff sticks out a little better too.
May this year be a great one for you!!
Thank you! I hope you have a cracking 2013 too x
Beautiful photo! The holiday sounds wonderful, perfect before the busy-ness of the coming year.
Thanks Suzy! Good luck with Ali starting school x

it’s funny to read you from this side of the world (Portugal) where is winter and it’s freezing. :) Hope you have a lovely holidays. :)
Your photo is delightful serene and inspiring. I agree about the years going faster and faster…
God what a stunning shot! Good for you doubling the study load. Don’t forget to shout out for help when and if you need it too. Always here x
Ohhh, what relaxing photograph! Glad you had a great vacation!
Hmmm that beach looks familiar – but then again they are all lovely up that way – we got to experience quite a few of them on our big caravanning trip a couple of years ago. Im dreading the start of uni – good luck for this year also.
Such a beautiful picture. There is something so energising about a sunrise…always a new beginning.
