It is no secret that I LOVE Christmas and when Sarah asked me to whip up a crafty Christmassy project for the shop, how could I refuse? I had lots of fun making these Christmas sacks. A half meter of linen, some fabric, some perle, some gorgeous ribbon and voila enter the Christmas sack. Sarah [...]

I have started thinking about Christmas. Early I know and crazy when you throw in the interstate move that is happening in under two weeks but it is my favourite time of the year so I like to make the most of it. The gift-list has started…organised or anal? The jury is still out. But [...]
Given we are a month into winter I’m not sure why I felt the need to whip up some very summery coasters. Maybe I am willing away the winter and fondly remembering afternoon’s spent with a cool drink in hand? Whatever the reason, these coasters were quick to whip up and it seems small projects [...]
Just before Easter, I scored my best thrifted item to date. Enter the cross stitched table cloth. In all seriousness, how could anyone part with it? Busy as a bee with my Bee Imaginative quilting bee blocks. I ended up with eleven blocks and needed to be a little bit creative to get a large quilt without doing too much extra making. I’m already thrilled with the completed top and can’t wait to see it quilted. Hop over to Kirst’s and [...]

The last handmade Christmas gift has been finished. The crocheted star here has been used as the centerpiece, framed with some Liberty and a linen cotton blend.

The countdown has begun and I am quite excited…possibly even more than the kids. I bought this advent calendar kit from Kristen Doran, it says ‘Christmas’ without being too much and I’m quite taken with it. Have you started your Christmas sewing? I’m sure there are lots of festive posts popping up over at Koo’s.
